During dry-to-wet season in RACCI-LBA campaing in september-october, 2002 the
regional weather forecast model Meso Eta was used to predict sinoptic and
meso-scale events in Rondonia. This model has a higher order spatial
resolution, 15 km, than the Eta/CPTEC operational model, 40 km. To verify the
performace of Meso Eta, we study two meso-scale convectivity systems and
squall lines that cross Rondonia state in 8th of October and compare the
results we obtained with it to Eta/CPTEC and National Centers for
Environmental Prediction (NCEP) analisys, satellite images and other data
sets from this campaing.
