Vector Topographic Map Data over the NSA and SSA in SIF Format

Summary:

This data set contains vector contours and other features of individual topographic map sheets from the National Topographic Series (NTS). The map sheet files were received in the Standard Interchange Format (SIF) and cover the BOREAS Northern Study Area (NSA) and Southern Study Areas (SSA) at scales of 1:50,000 and 1:250,000. The individual files are stored in compressed Unix tar archives. Distribution is restricted because a better format is available. ******************************************************************************** Please note that the SIF format is not well documented. BORIS Staff were able to reformat the data into the ARC GENERATE format. Potential users should use the reformatted data.
