Revision Summary: During publication of Zheng et al. (2003), changes were made to the data set that necessitated this revision. Screening criteria were applied to the original collection of 5,164 observations. As a result of this process, a set of NPP estimates of grid cells from South America that were generated by a model were dropped from the data set, leaving 3,654 observations. In addition, a subset of 2,335 observations was compiled in which outliers were removed and all replicate measurements were aggregated for each cell.
